    Yea it looks great on yours but you have a beefy tire in a slightly larger size, and I would probly want around 5.5" of lift

    Hmm seems that I already have a huge gap between the top of the tire and the fender, I just couldn't imagine it any higher

    I love my 255's on road and trails thus far but I have been looking on CL looking for a used cheap set of 295's.

    How are spindles not real suspension components?

    Allow a wide variety of lift numbers: 4 to ~7.5". At 0" at the coilovers keep the factory alignment specs. Allow lift without preloading the struts = amazing road/offroad feel. Give a wider, more agressive stance rather than a 3" coilover lift that sucks the wheels and tires in. Much more sturdy and prone to abuse. There are so many reason to go with spindles!

    You already have some.

    I can give you some of those depending on your application. Are you going long travel and planning to huck your truck? Otherwise, most of these "advantages" are not things you need.

    I'm always amused at "wider stance" being listed as an advantage. Tacos are already too wide as it is from factory.

    my whole idea with the spindles, is to obtain the lift from them, reducing all of the preload on my shocks thus improving travel and overall ride.

    Not to mention you get a much softer ride from the cranking down the coils, you get a ton of ground clearence, the lca's get tucked up also

    Well some people are not happy with what comes from the factory...people have their opinions which is why people do things to their trucks. They arent happy with something or are looking for something that suits their individual needs better.

    I am glad you put in your opinion to this thread and hopefully the OP reads it and takes some time to think about your great reasoning as why to not get them.


    Let me ask you this: why did you waste money on a TRD CAI? Isnt the factory intake a CAI in the first place?

    Not real suspension components = factory intake
    Spindle upgrade = same reason you did a TRD CAI, because its your truck and you wanted to.

    This must be a west-coast thing. As I understand it, there are places out there where you can actually leave the pavement without 4wd and go somewhere.


    I still don't see the advantage in lift spindles over weld-in gussets and spending the difference improving your truck elsewhere?


    Because it has a reusable filter, lowering my maintenance/ownership costs.

    Because it allows me to hear exhaust note more clearly, helping to indentify unusual noises from the engine (none yet).

    Because yes, it does in my opinion sound better.


    Oh I get the purpose for LT...but that doesn't seem to be where the OP's going? Hence why I asked.

    Yes, you will need aftermarket spindles if you're going to jump your shit. I agree gusseted is not adequate in that situation.

    Once again: Is that where the OP is going?
