To Garage or Not to Garage (Rust)

    yes, no, hell I don't know, I'm not a chemical engineer. The original post was - should I park in garage to inhibit rust issues during the winter?
    I say it's a non issue. If you have a garage, park in it. If not park out side. Some gen 2 frames get rusted and replaced, some don't. Leaving your truck outside to inhibit frame rust during the winter is silly if you have a garage. Think about it!!

    First it is a 7 year old frame replacement vrs a 2 1/2 year old truck. Rust was already appearing when the 03 was just a year old. There is none on my 13. The temp in my garage varies depending on how cold it is outside. In the dead of winter when it is the coldest, the temp in my garage ranges from 40 - 50 degrees f. Yes, plenty of road salt is used and last winter we had many snow storms. The difference is that the 03 was never garaged whereas the 13 is.
