I know but that's cuz a lot of V8s now have that cylinder shutdown thing when on the Highway. But I'm also comparing this to my old ranger 4.0 that never got better than 15 even on the highway haha

Not with this crappy winter gas they can't

Well that was my one-time all-time best.

Yes I have a 5 speed manual and I'm sure it helps. As does my commute which is mostly 45-50 mph roads with not much stop and go.

Pretty sure you have a 22 gallon tank on the 2nd gen.

The most I've ever put in my 1st gen was 15 gallons and it was on fumes.

Funny, odd. I bought Truck in Arizona when I was living there. I averaged 20mpg day and day out. I moved to New Mexico and it dropped down to 17mpg and has stuck there. Took a week long road trip into Colorado 2 years ago and it shot back up to 20mpg. Hmmmm...

Averaged 22mpg driving from Texas to Missouri. Lots of hills between there too. I could get 25 I bet if I tried really hard.

I got 17.9 on my last tank about just about shit myself. New Record!!! My old record was 16.8. I drive 5 miles to school every morning, but 30 miles combined to and from work, so that's helping my mileage. Thanks to this good weather, working more, and never driving above 60 MPH even on the highway, my MPGs are improving!

I'm completely stock, by the way. Running stock 265/70/16
