I have gotten 24mpg on many road trips. Just have to keep it at 65 or less.

I don't see people "complain" about fuel economy rather than asking questions when they notice a major drop in mpg or discrepancy between what they're getting and what others are posting.

If someone is getting 14 mpg in essentially the same truck as me, they have every right to "complain" IMO.

    4!?

I think I got 14 in my 96 when I was trail riding/mudding for eight hours. Right now I'm getting about 15-16 driving a mile a day. I think I'm doing more harm than anything only driving it a mile or so a day since it doesn't even warm up.

We get better gas mileage; you have a better truck. Sounds like a good trade. :D

Car people expect good fuel milage from trucks, not truck guys.
Car people expect trucks to ride well, not truck guys.
Car people expect quite inside trucks, not truck guys.
Car people expect a low step into a truck, not truck guys.
I could go on and on.
Consumer reports can fuck them selfs if they think they are truck guys.

A lot of guys buy a 1st gen because it is pretty efficient on fuel, very reliable, great on-road, great off-road, etc

We're talking about a mid-sized truck here, not a crew cab dually diesel.

I have a stock 13' dblcab sb 6 speed I get 18.4 city and about 21-23 on highway, I think it's funny to see people bitch about MPG because if you look at their profile the truck is lifted rolling on 33" well what in the hell do you think was going to happen your going to get better MPG? If your truck is lifted rolling on 33" quit your bitchin. If stock learn better driving habits or you got an issue. Sorry gents had to vent. This post is directed at those who bitch in other threads. If the shoe fits wear it.

What can I say, I'm old. Used to drive trucks long before IFS was even thought of for a truck. So I, a truck guy, expect a truck to drive like a... wait for it... TRUCK.

Second geners have no room to talk here. Your trucks are crazy good on gas mileage.

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
guess thats why the POS(imho) ridgeline got best mid size truck. Because well it does not have suspension like every other truck on the road. in return you get better ride. but it can’t tow or haul as much as the taco. and the bed is smaller then the SB taco bed.
