To Lift or not to Lift?

    Hey Guys

    I just got an 09 Taco and have been reading lots of posts on the different lifts you all have tried and what has been working and what not. I thank you for sharing the great info and time it took to post it . I was thinking of going with the OME 3" kit with the AAD and the front diff drop spacer. Has anyone had this type of lift on for a long time (ie >50,000 miles)? How has the handling both on and off road been? How about tire, ball joint control arms and cv jpint wear over time?

    I really like the look of the trucks with the lift but am concerned about sacrificing the way the truck handles and premature wear on other parts.

    Or should I be entertaining the Blisten route

    or just leave it all stock.

    if you want a smaller lift like 2.5 inches or under go with the bilstein 5100s but if you want higher you should get a drop bracket lift.

    Old Man Emu 3 inch lift + AAL, Satoshi and Pioneer Avic Z130BT
    I just put the entire OME 3" lift (885 coils/10mm spacer/struts/shocks/aal/diff drop)on my 09 DCLB last weekend. I also added in a set of Light Racing UCA's, in all it took about 8 hrs and I took my time. I have not taken it in for alignment yet, but it actually drives better now then before. Will be picking up some 285's in awhile. Also added in a TRD skid plate I picked off of Metalmiller right here on TW. This place is like crack!!!!

    OME Suspension, BFG 33x10.50 AT, Light Racing Upper Control Arms, Rear ARB Air Locker, LCE Header, Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler, K&N Intake
    I just drove a 09 with a 3" Revtek and 33" tires and was very impressed with the ride and handling.... and that is with the crappy stock shocks, leaf springs and front coils.

    The OME suspension is much better quality shocks, leaf springs and front coils.

    ARB makes quality products - should last longer than stock and ride much better.
