To paint hood...or leave it black?

    John - i could probably get you a pretty good deal if you wanted to paint your hood.. especially if you wanted to just paint it black and call it even.. The guys i used for my hot rod do a great job for a good price.

    If you left the hood black and painted the roof black...that would look unique.......whoops only now read the posts on page 2.......but that would look nice.

    the black looks real good with the setup u got going right now, i say get a good paint job or hit it with some clearcoat to protect it for a while

    I would leave it, no one else has what you have, plus painting the scoop a different color than the hood would not look good as the scoop is molded into the hood and there are no definitive lines to differentiate the hood from the scoop. if you know what im trying to say.

    is that the color that comes with an oem hood when you buy it or was it paint to match black?

    ya that is the color of an oem hood from the factory (unpainted) it used to be a semi glossy black, started to fade but took it off until i make up my mind on selling it/ getting it painted to avoid any damage caused to the hood from the sun/washing the truck.
    i kinda like the way the silver hood w/black scoop looks. my scoop insert is bsp, i beleive the guy i bought it from had a black sand pearl tacoma, i really wanna see some more shots of that guys truck with the black scoop insert :D

    I say leave it black. I think it looks awesome
