    minimal.....a 600 will sip compared to a chopper with a huge engine
    all depends on what bike and riding style

    Yeah I've been thinking about that for a while, but I don't know how much longer I want to keep this bike so I dont want to spend too much money on it. I've been holding off on buying an exhaust for it for the same reason. It's alot of fun but any distance on it is impossible. An hour is about the furthest I can deal with before it gets really uncomfortable.

    We'll see how I feel about it when it gets warm enough to ride it :D

    When it comes down to it, you will save money on gas yes, but overall a bike is another expense to deal with. BUT one that I think is well worth it. Sure it is dangerous but it can also be a hell of a lot of fun.

    I would say, like others, take the course. Not only to be a better rider but to figure out if you like it.

    From there, read as much as you can and figure out what fits you best.

    I would vote for the DRZ400SM but I am biased since I have been drooling over them lately.
