I heard turn signal option on any BMW is a $100,000 option. That's why you never see them.

    TL;DR

Not using the turn signal is probable cause to pull you over. Why chance an encounter with a LEO when you don’t have to?

    No offense to LEOs….

I am a turn signal user, in a part of the country where it isn't as common as it should be.

Aside from the sequential effect being neat, I also like the mirror-mounted signals I added to my truck because they are much brighter than the OEM lights there. They're way more visible in daytime, so I figure it makes my turning intentions all the more obvious if someone can't see my headlights.

The only time i dont signal sometimes is if I'm in a left lane with a u-turn possible. I figure in this situation, I'm definitely turning left, that's obvious by my position, so I can signal u-turn/no u-turn with my signal usage.

Probably a stupid way to think about it but eh

I don’t signal when I’m entering a highway on the on ramp. Being on the ramp is the signal. There’s nowhere else to go but merge. If the drivers on the highway don’t know this well…I can’t fix stupid.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
It does seem kinda redundant when you're in a dedicated turn lane...
And then there's the idiot coming up the ramp who slows down because no one has granted him/her a 1/4 mile gap in the traffic flow OR waits until the very end of the acceleration portion of the ramp to FINALLY try to enter traffic.
