I've got the stock TRD rims on my 08 Toyota Tacoma double cab TRD/SR5. Rather than pay 700$ for some black rims, I figure I would just paint mine, plus I like the look of them already. So what steps did you take to paint your rims black? Thanks

you can get them powder coated it would be more durable than spray paint.

I have an actual paint sprayer with air compressor, would something like rustoleum work in a flat black after sanding and priming?

And pay more to have them done and re-done when you ding them.

I paid 20 bucks for paint and I'm still using the same can for occasional touch ups.

The simple steps above were good. There are several threads about painting-Just gotta make sure you prep it right to keep it on the rim.
