I think the OP is from Canada and the prices of the Tundra and the Tacoma are alot more than what they are here in the states. I say not ot Tundra if you dont need a bigger truck, keep what you got.

If that's the case remind me to never move to Canada. Shit, stuff is expensive up there....

Yup, it's stupid expensive here. While our dollar's at parity you'll have a lot of us down there scooping up trucks to save some cash.

On the other side, high prices are sweet at selling time!

Some dealerships are going this way now. The dealership I bought my Taco from wanted 29k for my truck, but there is a dealership near Atlanta that does the no haggle on Toyota vehicles and had mine at a no hassle price of 24k. I got my local dealership to match it and since my vehicle has options added at another dealership in NC (tinted windows, tire Nitro) before trading it with my local dealership, I got them to throw that part in for free.

You can negotiate any price on anything, especially in this economy.

When I'm ready to buy something, I find the best price I can on-line and then try to see if a local vendor will price match. I factor in the cost of shipping, taxes, etc. to get an understanding of the "true" cost to me. I also prefer to buy local, and I'm not trying to screw anyone over on the price, but it's my money and I'll get the most out of it.

For example, I just purchased all new stainless steel applicanes for my house. I purchased from Sears at 20% off and they tried to get me to apply for a Sears credit card for another 10% off. I said no thanks, but I'll pay cash today if you give me the extra 10% off. Guess what, I got the full 30% off the total cost and saved several hundred bucks.
