Give me one too while you're at it, because I agree! I'm sorry the dude lost his cat, but he's lucky if losing an effing CAT was one of the roughest days of his life!

P.S. - How does one enjoy a negative rep?

Yeah. That's it. I pay zero attention to society. I know nothing about it. I don't care how much "we" spend on pets annually. If your worst day is losing a cat, you're lucky. Maybe you pay no attention to society if you believe most people don't have bigger problems than losing cats.

People will say what they want to say, but when I was writing this first post, I was extremely depressed, couldn't sleep, and staring at the fire outside my RV 20 feet from a highway. I'm fortunate enough to have yet to lose a close family member, so this was really the closest thing to that I had ever felt.

Now looking back after almost a year and a half, I couldn't imagine our home without him. He's an integral part of our family, and that is exactly why I didn't give up until I had some sort of closure. We were very lucky in the end.

Anyway, stop fighting, guys. I don't care if some people think I have it too easy or the thread title is misleading, or whatever. Let them think what they want. It's their own opinion and life has a way for rewarding those who voice them at appropriate times.

Mods, feel free to lock it up to stop the shit show.

The thread has ran its course and people can still read about it if they'd like. Hell, there's some great strategies for trapping a lost pet in here, I learned a lot in that week we were out there.

You're right. You've been good people in my book from a few threads I've seen on here. Good to hear he's still doing good.

Don’t judge others, and God won’t judge you. Don’t be hard on others, and God won’t be hard on you. Forgive others, and God will forgive you.

Glad you got him back. I have lost my dad, my wife's dad, one friend and one family member in car accidents and I still teared up when I read your post about your cat. Some of these people posting could learn a lot from owning an pet.
