That is of course if the shooter is white.

It is a well known fact that ONLY white people can be racist.

@jessedeanz You think you know shit because you are a cop? You cops react out of fear for anything . I've been in the military for years and we don't even react that way against the damn taliban. This matter could have been handled differently . This kid should not have been killed this way period.

Seems like the second officer who fired shots might have an issue if anything. The suspect appeared to begin to retreat after the first officer shot him and by the time the second officer shot, the suspect appears to have his back turned to the officers. Unless there was someone out of view on the left side in danger from the suspect, the second officer might have been better holding off on the shots.

The whole point of shooting is to stop the threat, not necessarily kill the threat, it just so happens that sometimes when you use a firearm to stop a threat, the side effect may be that the threat dies. Lawyers may argue the threat was over as soon as the suspect retreated, and if he had dropped the crowbar while retreating, after the first round of shots and before the second, the second officer who shot may have some problems.

I'm not saying what they did was right or wrong, I wasn't there, I'm just putting out the view point that a lawyer who sues for the family (because a lawyer will sue for the family) might have. If the lawyer can get a jury to agree with that view point and possibly argue that the first round of shots may not have ended the suspect's life, the second officer may have some issues, on a civil level at least.

    Not enough.
Im not going to bother readin all ten pages...but to those that oppose the officers actions, what if a loved on e of yours was about to be on the receiving end of that swing? Be it axe, sledgehammer or crowbar. He was as lethal as a couple bullets.

    +1 for the officers.

Did this guy really think he was going to battle royale axe fight with the cops???

What really sucks is these officers are going to have to live with this forever, just because of this idiot's piss poor decision to "stand up to the man" or some shit.

Yes, and that's why the US s still there. Could've been taken care of a long time ago, if "we" weren't worried about what the world thought.

It was a sarcastic remark to point out the obvious ignorance of his post.

No, they are not. They are trained to shoot till the threat stops. And they are trained to shoot center mass of whatever part of the body is presented.

I was shown a video in one of my CJ classes that showed a dash cam of a traffic stop that turned into the officer being killed. The whole department had been getting in trouble for the use of excessive force(which some of you say was the case in this video). The person being stopped loaded a rifle in the door jam of his truck while the officer kept telling him to stop and place the rifle on the ground. The man turned and pointed the rifle at the officer, the officer was still giving verbal commands to put the weapon down. The officer has still not opened fire. The man shoots and kills the officer and drives away. Sorry for such a long post but that cop lost his life and was not able to go home to his family because complaints about the amount of force used by the department created a fear in the officers that resulted them in not being able to efficiently carry out their job. All of the officers in this video did the correct thing, the suspect was in the motions to do harm to an officer and they put him down whether its one bullet or ten you do not stop shooting until the threat is neutralized. Its sad that his life was taken over a such pity act as that and even more sad is the people videoing laughing about it.
