Alright, to the haters and people calling brutality, check it out. Cops are taught to shoot till the threat stops.

The cop shot the perp with the taser, no effect.
Perp lunges at cop putting away the taser.
K-9 cop shoots, at 0:46, after K-9 cop stops shooting, perp is still on his feet behind the car.
    Cop with taser, shoots.
    Perp goes down.
    Threat is stopped, shooting stops.

Both cops will be investigated, and cleared for a good shoot.

They had the right mindset, good training, and will be backed up.

There are few things that deal with deadly force, and must be in place before cops can use deadly force.

Weapon: Perp had a fucking crowbar.
Ability: He definitely could use it.
Jeopardy: He lunged at the cop.
Perception: K-9 cop felt his partner's life was being threatened (it was).

Everyone hating on lazylegs for valuing human life over an animals life. By all means, I know the cop did what he had to do, but don't hate on a legitimate opinion. I see more rage about his comment than the comments joking about a HUMAN'S death. What happened to "love thy neighbor and thy enemy"

    Yeah who knows.

The county swat team here raided a house and the homeowner who was a former marine thought it was a home iNvasion so he grabbed his ar15 and when swat saw him standing in the hallway with his gun they lit
    Him up.

Anyways it took the cops an hour to clear the house and let ems in.

I have my opinions on that ordeal but this case I am with the cops.

Least it was a quick death, I mean if they shot him 1-2 times he could have laid there in pain for quite awhile and still might not even live, And even if he did he wouldnt see sunshine for the rest of his life after that. So in reality. it was probably the best outcome.

Guy had to be on something, didnt read page 2-8 if it was already covered. You dont just take a tazer to the face and walk away like that. He isnt Epic Beard Man.

Though the second round of shots seemed a little unnecessary.

Given the choice between shooting someone 5 times and letting 'em hurt my dog, the decision is easy.

    Edit:

After watching on fullscreen, he was still on his feet after the first round of shots. Had to be on PCP. I've seen people do some crazy shit on that drug.

In that situation, I would've pulled the trigger once, twice maybe. I realize the cops adrenalin is high and pumped up. It's like being in a fight, I am pumped up just like anyone else would be, perp is yielding wrought iron and makes a gesture to swing at my partner, instincts and training kicks in, u pull the trigger. Justified shooting > hell yes! however proper training should include the cop knowing that at almost point blank range one round maybe two is enough, couldn't tell if perp was getting up after the first shots were fired because of the vehicle being in the way but another officer pumps more rounds into him< that is what I question.

I stopped reading after like 4 pages...but...Lulz at the butthurt over an idiot gettin shot. Honestly...if you do something completely retarded like threaten an officer, don't be upset when you get what you deserve.

Could they have immobilized him? Maybe. We don't know what would have happened if they put a couple rounds in his leg. Maybe he still tries to attack the officer. Who knows? Tax payers would have ended up paying for his hospital bills and paid for him to be in jail afterwards, I know that. This way, the people of Cali don't have to pay for another person in Jail.

You don't wanna get shot? Don't do somethin completely retarded. I don't feel sorry for him.

Thank you. And I'm pretty sure that those bitching about what happened wouldn't be if they or their gf/bf whatever was the one getting attacked. I doubt they'd be whining that their attacker got shot x times and it was excessive.

Dude , last time I checked I had two legs not four dragging on the ground.. We are all entitled to our opinions and that was mine. I was just saying that GIVEN a choice I would have rather seen the dog injured rather than the young man loose his life. why are you jumping all over my opinion? I am not saying your opinions are stuid or calling you an idiot. Then say ban me. Come on.. I am entitled to post my opinion as you and the rest of here are. I guess the difference between us is that I can accept the fact others wil not see it as I do, and see no need to jump on you.. for your thoughts and opinions.

The guy did decide on his OWN to do something stupid, so he took the responsibility on his own that things went that way, it was totally his fault

    Ya but handcuffs.

No they carry a gun, its rarly used. If someone has a gun or a sharp menial (spell) weapon it will be used to disarm and disable the guy. Then they would get carried off to the best hospital tax money can buy so the guy can sit in prison for 1-2 years. Im def not saying thats fair, and im not saying shooting him 10 times is alright when he didnt kill anybody but there are meadians.

It could have been handled better is all im saying. he did take 2 steps towards the officer. Im not supprised how it turned out, I would have killed hime myself but it could have gone better. WHo knows maybe he was sucisidal. Training should teach them better how to deal with these situations, not just handling them the easy way.

Like I said, I really want to find out how this plays out.

Ok. Your right my bad, just sayin that because it's a police dog it is considered a police officer, and with that being said that is why I said what I said
