    100%.

I use synthetic in my transmission but not in my diffs anymore.

The cheap pumps just die after a few uses. I've tried to find a more expensive better quality one, but the ones I've found are either $300+ or $25, seems like there's no in between.

Do you think there would be a downside to using oil stabilizer in your diffs?

Honestly never thought about it. Quick research showed some use it and some don't but one guy said you need the gl5 additive in gear oil that is formulated to cling better to high load surfaces and I got the impression that he figured the stabilizer would essentially dilute the diff oil.

Personally I don't think I'd bother. The diff oil change intervals aren't that frequent for myself.

Got these bad boys a week ago
    PXL_20230208_234115991.jpg

They are joining the pile of:
    Mishimoto radiator
    HPS hoses
Small auxiliary E fans to mount to intercooler and wiring and switches to run them in my currently chopped up cup holder console
    Front bump stops
Poly body bushing kit (will prob be a long time before I get to this one)
And probably some other shit I'm forgetting

Also Kelford cams and springs will be joining this list once the group buy commences.

Also, pics of the new toolbox. Went with Milwaukee even though it cost more because it's the only workbench toolbox with a raised top that you can clamp things to. Managed to get new years pricing of $100 off because they forgot to update the in store price tag and signed up for a home depot credit card to get another $100 off. Probably just cancel the credit card later as I've had one before that got cancelled due to not using it.

Also, it's on wheels so I can move the box around the garage as needed for whatever reasons. I had a larger wooden workbench before that took up too much space and wasn't really that organized. So stoked to have organized tools for the first time in my life, especially sockets as I had two portable cases that were a pain in the ass whenever I was grabbing stuff.

When do you plan on installing all of these goodies?? Very interested in hearing your thoughts on the solenoids

Looks like a nice box! I need to get organized like that

I'm still trying to clear the rest of the garage. Have to do a dump run and a bunch of recycling to get rid of and then I can fit my truck.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm holding off on the radiator until after cams as it might be nice to rip all that out for accessibility for the cam install then install once that's done. Thoughts @Athlaos? Would it help or not really?

The solonoids sound like a quick job so sometime soon. I do want to remove the filters as well if possible to have a look at and/or clean them. Are the filters as accessible as the solonoids @SUMOTNK? I haven't looked into that info yet.

Dont quote me on this, but I believe the OCV filters are right near these solenoids so yes, it would be 2 birds 1 stone with this install. I didnt do my filters so I can't confirm location.

Its not a necessity, and I've never needed to remove it for my install, but there is a lot more room if you remove the throttle body for the R/R of the vvti solenoids.

Thanks, I'll definitely let you know how it goes. Oops I totally meant to post that in my own build thread. Lol

And I just bought an over engine creeper thanks to @Athlaos being a bad influence again.

Truthfully, I had it in the back of my mind since seeing he had one a while back so it was just a little nudge over the cliff.

Having some possible AFR issues as well with the sensor ping ponging from one extreme to another but haven't been able to confirm if it's a legitamate issue or a flakey sensor yet.

I'm always happy to enable - the topside creeper was one of the best $400 I've ever spent though, I must say.

Sucks on the AFR issues, hope you get that sorted soon. Should be picking up your tuner from Ken in the next day or so.

The creeper does sound seriously handy and with your glowing recommendation I know I won't regret it.

    Used this bad boy,
    PXL_20230307_214908514.jpg

To install these little golden red bullet solenoids,
    PXL_20230307_211325965.jpg

Haven't been able to test under spirited driving because I haven't had time to troubleshoot my possible fueling issue yet. It does drive like normal when driving normally lol.

Definitely digging the topside creeper, it was handy for sure. Also bought one of those steps that hangs of the tire, which could also be very handy.

My cup holder has been MIA for some time after I cut a hole in it for switches so I finally did some plastic epoxy patching.
    PXL_20230311_173532670.jpg

Had to epoxy some support pieces underneath to put plastic on an open spot I had cut and then decided to move the switches. Also, part of a round cup holder hole that needed patching.
    PXL_20230311_184045673.jpg

    PXL_20230311_184050800.jpg

Then covering with an epoxy putty and trying to contour and sand it so it blends well and doesn't look like a shit drywall job once painted. Still more patching and sanding to do. No sanding done on this pic.

What's the plan for what your switches will be doing?

Seriously though, probably just one switch for an electric fan and the rest blank for now. Not sure if I want my two fans wired to the same switch or one tied into the heater controls.
