I think mine is the 265WT too...I liked the included FM traffic service and use the Bluetooth all the time. I'm pretty happy with the GUI and with the features that it has.

Some folks have said the Tom Tom is more user friendly- but I haven't enjoyed working with the Tom Toms that I have used...::shrug:: Personal comfort is key when it comes to something like this...What I like- Lots of other folks won't...Ya know??

I only have experience with my brother's Tom Tom, and it has been pretty good from the times I've used it.

I have a Mio M400 (wide screen), and I feel that it's very comparable to a Garmin. Fast sat linkup, 20 channel reciever, good touch screen, auto day/night, good suction mount. :)

I bought a refurbished Garmin C550 Streetpilot for $85. The C550 Streetpilot is a great GPS but also is an MP3 player and has Bluetooth.

Then I bought a cable that plugged into the back of the JBL stereo for $75.

Now I can cruise down the road and listen to my MP3 music, obtain GPS directions, and talk through the bluetooth when I receive a phone call.

The Garmin is deadspot on, gives traffic alerts, and has a nice display.

    Definitely recommend the Garmin Brand.

    Good luck with your choice.

I'm a truck driver and equipment operator/hauler.... I drive 400+ miles per day. I've used all the mapping devices made. A few different Garmins and recently went with a TOM TOM XL. Hands down, the TOM TOM XL is my pick. Way way way easier to type addresses into while driving and much much easier to read the directions...and if you like to listen to audible voices giving turn by turn the TOM TOM has great sexy female voice downloads to go along with it. TOM TOM for me. I'll donate my Garmin's to the needy so they can find their way to the welfare office to pick up their checks.

A guy at work let me borrow his Tom tom for a road trip. I thought it was neat and worked nicely. Never used a garmin. But i imagine they both get you where you are going, Just a matter of preference.

Was not a fan, the gps stopped working when i didnt have reception, i dunno if reg gps' have this problem, kept starting over, like on a 300 mile strip of the 5, it kept telling me that it was rerouting, and just gave the same rout, and i had to keep my phone on the dash, which wasnt too easy considering that i wanted to see the screen...
