What the heck.??? It's pretty much impossible to shift a j-shift into 4lo on accident. That's weird....

Ya. I was torn between laughing or running out there and jumping in front of the truck yelling at him to stop.

    Glad it is a Toyota.

I'm sifting through one of the online Toyota parts stores for miscellaneous fasteners and trim pieces to fix stuff that has broken over the years. On a Friday night...

Ah, gotchya. I only watched the first season and it has been awhile.

Odd thing, I like the one on Paseo and Louisiana. Seem to do a better job.

And now I need to set up an appt at Chet's to get the alignment done. Hopefully it'll handle like a champ afterwards. Been a bit squirrely lately.

Got the new rear locker switch, with the correct lighting scheme, plugged in:

    IMG_5563_zps8a770d8d_53efd32990dc1c625a624f5bf1bc6e64995832a3.jpg

And with a switch panel, fit in the light switches where the useless clock goes:

    IMG_5561_zps33b1d2f8_237979f0f69be54dadfccc1c59544045c31dcddc.jpg

Now I just need to get SGT Taco to help me wire the switches up.

Did you just push those switch panels into where the clock was? Or did you need to make something else to secure them? I sell those brackets and switches, so this may be my next mod. I have my switches in the blanks below the stereo now, but I like the clock location better.

    Step 1: Remove clock
Step 2: Push in switch panel.

Seriously that easy. It doesn't click in as aggressively as the switches into the panel but there is a good enough bit of grip that it ain't going to pop back out accidently.

Made some templates to make the cutouts for the switch panels going in on the left side:

Found out the NoLoss valve caps don't work too well with the ARB air chuck so I had to go hit up Autozone and put one together:

    IMG_5766_zps4ef5cabd_8728edc85da7f23bc0656e62d80c45c340185ca5.jpg

Got these nice Uniball caps from SDHQ a week ago.

    IMG_5772_zpsb5bbd81d_e1db1871232463456cd681d2b6f4bbcf5f426395.jpg

    Finally installed them:

    IMG_5775_zpsad6cb0f8_8187cb65600e29aa829516b472e5360dacbbf6a7.jpg

Took forever cleaning out the cup. A tonne of dirt caught in there from my last off-road adventure.

Installed a Creeper Breather I picked up from TG:

Ripped the dash back apart to re-do the switches:

    IMG_5784_zpsfa73b2dc_b1991e0c10b57e4693641afcda01b9d0eb8c6f62.jpg

Cut the dash trim to put the Carling switch panels in:

And now back together, looking a little cleaner and have an extra slot:
