Thanks! I'm starting to get scared because the list of mods is getting short. Maybe when I get to the end of it I'll start thinking about a solid axle up front...

Thanks to some very helpful and positive thinking NM Taco and 4Runner owners got the Ikon UCAs installed:

    IMG_0501_zpse4cb8f12_31363a457a993f35dca43c69d064c455514d8bdb.jpg

And it solved my coil contact problem:
    IMG_0504_zps32bf5263_baaabc373b7a073d025960f58627387e03b438ab.jpg

Things weren't looking good but a couple of the guys stepped in, pulled the whole spindles off and pressed the upper ball joints out. After that, went like clockwork. Really amazed to see peeps throw in a helping hand.

Meh. It ain't all that. Spent 10 years in school, collected a few degrees and have a nice paying job. On the flipside, I got no wife, no kids and come home every night to a dark, empty apartment.

Despite some of the griping, most of the guys I know that have the family thing going on wouldn't give it up for all the Taco mods in the world. Looking in from the outside, I tend to agree.

Where do you plan on mounting your switches?

That is a very good question. Currently the plan is:

    1. Move the clutch start cancel button to where the rear locker button is.
    2. Put the 2 light switches where the clutch start cancel button was.
    3. Hang the CB mic where the clock is.
    4. Move the rear locker button to the switch panel underneath the ash tray.
    5. Install the front locker and compressor switches in the same switch panel.

I have to get into the dashboard with a friend to go over everything and make sure it is do-able.

Sounds like a solid plan. Do you use the clutch start button often? I had an 08 base Tacoma and never once used that button. Thats just me though.

I've used it once or twice since I bought the truck 10 years ago which got me to thinking about moving it. I'd rather have something I'm going to be using often in that position. Thought about either the locker switches or the lights and chose the lights since the headlights are on the stalk on that side.

It sticks out a little more than I would like but with the HU face tilted out it lines up perfectly so I can still see the display. Used velcro to secure it to the dash facade. I still have to mount the antenna and wire it up.
