More foolish questions from me. When u start flashing other people's trucks did u unlock all ECUs or do u just unlock certain ones?? seems expensive and pointless to unlock all ECUs up front. But sometimes guys drive hours for someone to tune there truck. It would suck to drive hours then not have the right tune pack. Like if they have a 2019 auto do u just buy the tune packs for the most up to date ECUs for that year? Is there a way for them to get their ECU id before meeting up?

 

I have only unlocked the most up to date versions, and currently only for AT's.

If they're not up to date, I update them.

So far I have only tuned 2016's, 2017's, and 2020's that were 3.5L AT's. Makes it easier to know what ECU ID they likely have. Nobody has driven a long distance to me to have the work done yet. But if they're concerned, there's quite a few posts discussing how to read your ECU with a handheld scanner and which ones are capable of such.

If you want to tune you 2019 Tacoma I need to purchase credit to unlock your ecu and a tune pack the price and labor

currently have my 2019 manual transmission unlock so to unlock your Tacoma cost 4 credits $75 and the tune pack $300 and labor to tune $

 

What do you charge for labor to tune with the unlock ecus

 

just ask then about their truck... if its a 2016 or 17 AT, then youll want to update them and flash them as 04b04 for example. get info ahead of time and you can prepare.

Big thanks to @DownhillDragon for gettin me tuned up! What a difference. On my way back from Austin to Houston was the first time that I used the cruise control without the dance between 4,5 & 6 gear. Also the response and power on low rpms is way better. Couldn't be happier. Again, big thanks Brody.
