Can someone indicate where they got the bed rail relocation hardware. Is that from Bak itself, or elsewhere?

I've got an mx4 on the way, for a 2018 SB, and would like the option to mount one of these racks on top, using the tonneau compatible brackets. I'd prefer to install all at the same time.

    Thanks!

Great thanks. It wasn't clear from the install instructions from Bak for the MX4 that it came with that hardware, when selecting the 18 Tacoma SB as the vehicle.

Yes bed rails are relocated and everything in the package. Be careful removing the Torx 30 bolts they strip easy if you are not careful.

The cover either needs to be closed, open or partially open/closed before install. The angle of the supports prevent it from full movement. 4BB3967E-4DEF-4A7F-A803-7FDDDD698AE9.jpg

Hey guys. I don't know if people are still following this thread but I have a bakflip revolver X2 and I just ordered the brackets. For those wondering if it will roll up past the legs of the rack, I am 95% sure the answer is YES for the legs closest to the tailgate and MAYBE for the legs closest to the cab. I only ordered/installed the bracket because I wanted to make sure before I order a full rack.

Awesome! Please post pics when complete as I am thinking of going the same route. I already have a bakflip revolver X2 installed.

I agree. I would like to use the X4 and a voodoo rack. I want to see how it looks and if it will work.

Will these brackets work if I buy the Max Modular 14" bed rack for long beds on my short bed? The website states you can use the long bed version on short bed for full bed coverage. Do I select long bed or short bed when buying these brackets for my short bed?

    Yes they will work.

If you have a short bed, say "short bed" when you add them to your cart.

@br1jen informed me that the long bed and MX4 does not fit on a short bed due to the front mx4 bracket being in the way and the rack tacking the entire span of the bed. I already purchased my rack but have yet to install it. Is there any other modifications I have to do in order to make this work? Please advise. Attached is what @br1jen sent meimage.jpg

Nice! Do you have more pics? I have the same cover and I've been wanting to get a bed rack that works with it. Not just a fan of having a RTT sitting too high in the back so that's the only thing holding me back.
