I'd appreciate it if you could put up a side profile and maybe one with a RTT. Thank you much. Just want to see how much exposed a RTT would be.

I don't have an RTT but I think the internet is filled with pics of RTTs on 14 inch Max Modular racks. Depending on the tent, it will stick out above the roof line. The top bar of the 14 inch rack with the necessary adapter brackets for the cover sits just above the rear window. The question of whether the roll up cover would work with a 10 inch rack is tough to answer because of the inward angle of the rack - the height should clear no problem. My guess is that it will prob work and will give you much more clearance below the roof line for an RTT.

@KB Voodoo I know this is an older thread, but have you guys done anything with making this rack compatible with opening something like the BakFlip MX4 Tonneau to access the bed? We, often times, leave camp to go on a hike or hunt for hours and would like the option of loading/locking gear up in the bed of the truck, but then accessing again (easily, without crawling under in the dark) when we return. Additionally, with my truck as a daily driver, I wouldn't mind keeping the rack on and still accessing the bed. I'm also curious how the raised adapter brackets for the relocated rails have held up for some owners? Seems like it might be a compromised point for the weight?

I don't think any rack would work with a tri-fold. Look at the photos by B-Rant. He is running the Bakflip Revolver with his rack and it works. Im selling my MX4 and getting the Revolver.

haven’t had any issues with the bakflip brackets nor with the rack and cover itself. if you want to be able to open up at least the first cover, you would most likely need the 18” max rack and also relocate your bed rails about 2 inches towards the tailgate.

Wish I had thought of this setup before I bought my MX4. I am selling it and getting this setup. Is there a gap between the bed side and the tonneau rail due to the brackets? Did you try using a gasket to cover that gap? Also, how long do you think the brackets will be able to sustain a 200lb RTT in off-road driving?

does anyone have any leak issues where the brackets go under the bakflip side rails? it's hard for me to understand how theirs room their for the brackets to go under and the rails still seal up? are you guys using a ton of sillicone? does it cause the rails to tweak or bow in the areas where the brackets are?

Yes there will be leaks. It’s not waterproof nor they claim to be. You can’t silicone the Bakflip cover closed without losing the flip feature

right on. I’ve already got mine very water tight with mods. Was just wondering how these brackets will effect that. I’m toying with the idea of fabbing up a bracket to mount the voodoo rack directly to the top of the bedside to eliminate the floating look and retain the water tightness i’ve achieved.
