Just picked up a used but like new undercover flex for a great deal Monday, just had to drive a ways to get it. Payed 500,seller was a good dude and he had a sweet Tacoma.

Works great for me,just washed the truck today and was very surprised how much water wasn’t in the bed even after putting a pressure washer on it.

I have an Extang Encore, and I love it.

Even after recently driving in a hard rain, it only let a couple tablespoons of water in.

I have the Norther Mountain roll up. I like it. It was a great price on Amazon, looks good and you can roll it up in a few seconds and get full use of the bed. I have the Delta bike mounts on a front rail and it lets me use those. I also haul lumber once or twice a week, so the tri folds weren’t going to work for me.

Have the OEM trifold. No complaints thus far. Tiny bit of moisture when it rains heavy and steady. That's my only gripe.

I am very happy with my tonneau cover. It is Lund Genesis Elite model, trifold soft cover. It's been on my 2017 AC Tacoma for about 16 months. Zero leaks. The "Elite" model uses a premium cover material manufactured in Massachusetts by the Harrtz Co., which produces materials for OEM convertible tops. The Elite material has a woven appearance like you would see on a convertible top on a luxury car. Lund also makes a regular Genesis trifold, which uses a vinyl material, and is less expensive.

Many detailed YouTube videos on the product and its installation. It went on fairly easy. Also, simple to remove and reinstall. It attaches to the OEM rails in the bed utilizing a clamp system. The rails and tie-downs can still be used. No need to drill or otherwise modify the truck.
    I bought mine on Amazon.

I am sure there are other good products out there. Lund is the only one I have direct experience with.

I just bought a Bakflip MX4 from a truck accessories shop and it was $50 cheaper than the Toyota tonneau cover, installed.

MX4 will flip all the way forward into a vertical position allowing access to the full bed and the ability to drive at highway speeds in that configuration. The cover from Toyota does not flip all the way forward so it must be lifted out of the bed in a horizontal position to gain full access to the bed...and then what do you do with it?

I have the tonneau from Toyota (picture sucks to see the cover but I don’t have a better one). I like it, my only concern would be is it going to hold up to the Arizona heat. Otherwise it is pretty solid, and it is easy to fold back and easy to remove entirely if needed.

Soft cover from the dealer. Minimal leakage. Serves my purpose.

I have an extang encore. Like it for the most part. Things I dont like...

Stock rails are moved down and attached to the extang rail. Because of this you can't strap things down too tight using the tie downs. They will start to bow.

I camp a lot and find it annoying when I can't close my cover because my cooler is just a few inches taller than the tonneau.

So with that in mind, I am now considering a softtopper after 3 years of owning an tonneau/extang.

    Things I like...

With it closed, things under it are out of sight and out of mind to keep the honest folks honest.

I can open this cover from both ends. (Reason why I chose this over the bakflip)

Removes completely in less than a minute.

Goes back on just as fast.

    Keeps the bed pretty dry.

The Northern Mountain was about $150 and took less than 1/2 an hour to install. It seems like good quality and the fit and finish is good.
