I'm looking for a tonneau cover for my 2010 Double Cab. I wan't something cheap (like $500 and under). I want something easy to remove when I need to carry something in the bed. Any recommendations?

I just purchased Extang Tri-fold for $362.00. After owning a snap-on cover on my 03, the Tri-fold on my 13 is alot easier to open/remover and it looks good.

Any of the Tri-Folds are easy to work with. They usually have a quick latch on either side near the tailgate to allow you to fold it and then another couple of latches up front that you can get to without climbing in the bed to take it out.
I can take mine off in about 2 minutes and put it back on in about 5 minutes.
I haul motorcycles and mulch occasionally, so that is why it was important to me.

I have an undercover classic. Overall a really good cover and keeps water out and the bed secured. You won't have to purchase a tailgate lock with the cover because the cover overlaps the tail gate. You can stand on it and throw random things on top without worring about the cover breaking or falling apart on you. It's easy to take off with two people but the rings on it are a pain in the ass to take off. I know the SE model different and I think the hinge design is WAY better than the classic's.

Just plan to take it off if you are going to haul anything taller than the bedrails.

Keep a close eye on craigslist and you maybe able to score a sweet deal on a cover.

If I had to do it again, I would buy a hard folding cover just for the fact they are really handy for those moments you puchase an item out of the blue. Other than that I really like the Classic. You can also mount racks and stuff on them, 300lbs. capacity or something like that.

If you want security, get a hard cover.

I have a TruXedo TruXport soft rollup that I really like. Not pricey, and its easy to roll up when you need too. When rolled up , doesn't interfere with the bed at all.

If you aren't looking for a hard cover, max security type you should go with a roll up cover. I have an Access lite-rider that I love but any of the roll up types will work well. I think they are better than the tri-folds since you don't lose any usable bed space at all.

I just ordered a Bakflip F1 from TruckAddons.com. I have not received it yet, but from what I have read I think it will address my needs. You do not have to remove it to have full access to your bed. The F1 is more than $500.00, but the G2 is cheaper. I am not sure on the price, but you can call Scott with TruckAddons.com, who is a member of TW, and see what he can do for you.

I have the Extang trifecta soft cover for mine. Great cover. 99% waterproof. The water that comes in is from the bottom of the tailgate when it rains. It leaks very little when going through carwashes. I like the fact that I can remove it with ease to haul big items. It was about $300 with shipping from autoanything.com.

I don't want one where it flaps and bounces everywhere on the freeway, I've seen many tacomas with tonneau covers where the tonneau does this

I have a Fold-A-Cover on my 06. It's a hard cover that folds into 4ths. It can be locked and easily removed if you need the bed for something. It fits on the factory rail of the bed. It works great.

 Can't say I've ever seen one on a Tacoma doing that, but maybe a cheapy with bad snaps or something. Pretty much every one recommended so far wont do that.

OP, given your budget, you are most likely to be using a vinyl cover. There are several high-quality options form several manufacturers in the $300-$400 window. These are the velcro or trifold style. Suggesting Extang and Access

There is one hard cover option to look at that might fit your budget though, TonnoPro.

Most of your other hard covers will be north of $600

Please call me if you need any help selecting a cover.

A little of this and a little of that.
I'm happy with my Access Lite-Rider. Easy install & rolls up out of the way nicely when hauling something large.
    Good luck.

I have an Advantage Torza tri-fold. Don't always have it on. Easy on and off. Doesn't flap around. I didn't even realize at first this was an old picture of my truck when I first searched google for a pic of the top haha.
