I had the Extang encore tonneau cover installed by the dealer and the side rails keeps sliding causing the cover to close improperly. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you find a resolutuon? I have this issue too. Just a month old and i noticed the passenger side sliding. I just called tonneaucoverworld and sent them a video clip. Waiting for their reply. Other than this issue, i love the cover. Hopefully just a defective rail.

Dealer installed one on my truck. I have a couple small leaks which I am not happy about. I have been putting off taking it back in for them to look at it because of the hassle. Of course I didn't get any paperwork so I don't know if there is anything I could easily do myself.

true it is leaky, seems most owners have said this. i don't mind since that's something i can modify a bit, but the general features of this cover are killer, so i can deal with that for the other features (rear fold, front fold, no blocking of rear glass when folded, easily removable, lockable).

Take it back to dealer and have it installed correctly or get something else.

All valid points and that is why I got this particular cover.
I will definitely go back and see what can be done. Have to for it in the schedule.

So i figured it out. The drain rails needed to be re-adjusted. I loosened everything up and found that depending on how you tighten down the rail screws, it won't really grab the aluminum brackets. Pushing down on the siderails while tightening puts pressure on the clamps and keeps tension on them. Thats what keeps the rail from being able to slide like how mine were doing. Just wanted to put this out there for future encore owners who may have these issues ...
