Good afternoon, I have a 2016 TRD Off Road Tacoma and would like to put a tonneau cover on it. However, I cannot decide which brand seems best and which version of the brand would be most cost effective and not let water in to the bed. Because we will use this truck for traveling so I want to protect against moisture entering the bed.

Please let me know if you have a bed cover and if so which one, or make a recommendation on which tonneau cover to go with in order to resist rain and not break the bank.

    Thanks

Undercover Classic is watertight. One piece design. Never had a leak with mine, even in driving rain. Two drawbacks.....It is one piece which means you can't fold it out of the way to load taller items. You're limited to just below the height of the bedrails. Also...I had corrosion issues (still do) with the mounting hardware as well as the struts. Completely rusted in less than two years even with cleaning and maintenance. They were kind enough to send me new parts. Good cover IF they've addressed the hardware issues.

Do you recommend the Retrax or Revolver in your personal opinion? @Scooter62

@Scooter62 all of these are over $2,000 I was looking at the ones that were much less than this in price. More of the sub $500 range

I've had great luck thus far with my Extang 2.0 Solid Fold - minor water has been leaked into the bed and that was during an all day rain we had, which included having to get out and drive on the highways for a few hours during the storm.

If you don't want the additional weight and security of a hard tonneau or tri fold (some allow only the use of 2/3 of the bed unless you remove it)

Try the Truxedo Lo Pro. Great adjustable cover. The rails can be used. Lifetime warranty, My tailgate is sealed. I don't get any water in the bed

1st I have heard of this. Now you have me not wanting to buy the Undercover Elite. I really don't need a tonneau cover I don't guess.

@TacoBella Now that is more like what im looking for, im going to bookmark both of these. Thank you for this recommendation, the other ones were rather steep in price.

@Championsumo have you had any issues from it, and is it as easy as the video shows it to install, and to remove for other applications?

Takes about 2 minutes to remove once the hardware is installed. It took me about 15 minutes to mount the hardware. I have had it on for over 6 months, no wear issues what so ever.

I may have to readjust mine. I get little bit of drips in the corners. Not bad but still a little annoying. What did you use to seal the corners especially the front?

If you want to save more, I had this one on my last Tacoma.http://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-covers/60A2044A0A0.aspx

The Lo Pro is a lot better

I just tucked in the factory seals into the corners a little better with my fingers. Perhaps your giant grill is causing some undue turbulence and making water go in there ;)

Weather seal. I used the Truxedo Seal for the gate
