    Hello all,

First post for me. Just picked up a 2018 TRD Sport long bed.

I'm looking for a hard folding cover that still allows me to use the factory bed rail/cleats. I like the Bakflip MX4, Undercover Ultra Flex or Leer HF 650M. I want something that flips up to the back window.

I'm having a hard time finding concrete answers from the manufacturers on how these covers affect the factory rail system. Thought actual users would be a better source of answers.

Let me know what you know!

Anyone have feedback? I am hoping to buy something next week and would really appreciate feedback from users of any of these covers.

The OEM tonneau on my 16 allowed full use of the bedrails and cleats when closed.

Most all of the aftermarket tonneau covers sit on top of the bedsides which should leave plenty of room to have the cleats in the bedrails. Remember though most aftermarket covers use the bedrails for mounting so no cleat in those spots.

Thanks! I'm worried that the flush mount ones that I'm looking at won't allow access since they kind of sit IN the bed.. I'm really surprised at how hard it is to get this type of information from the manufacturer.

Look at Extang I believe theirs may enable you to keep the factory bed rails.

I have the MX4 backflip and in order to use it the rails get lowered down a bit. So you can still use your rails and bed cleats.

I'll check out the Extang to see what they have.

I have no issues with the rails being dropped a bit, I just don't want to lose them all together.

I really like the look of the Leer HF650M. It's a quad flip, thus shorter when flipped up against the back window so the brake/bed lights are still visible. Expensive though! Especially in Canadian $$$.

If you can swing it a Retraxone XR fits the bill and you can build on top of it if you want

That looks like an awesome cover, but definitely out of my budget.

x2 on this - came with the truck I bought but we love it. Pretty water right, locks, and you can mount a rack over it for extra space. You lose about 6 inches of bed space towards the window and lose your front bed rail though. They were doing a group buy on them and still honoring prices last week

Well, that lets the tonneau on my 2005 Access long bed out; I'm in Southern California...
