If you go to the Undercover or Bak website, and select your model of truck (Tacoma, 5 or 6 ft bed) all I see is one model on each website. There is no choice to select with or without a track (bedrail) system. All Tacomas come with side rails, so there is no choice to make. Note - the Undercover Flex says you cannot use the Tacoma rail cleats with the cover. On my Bak Revolver X2, the Tacoma rails are lowered about 2" using brackets, and separate rails for the cover itself are screwed into the original mounting holes. This gives you 100% use of the Tacoma side rails in the lowered position.

The Fold-a-cover works with the existing bed rails and cleats. And you can unlock the front to access the front of the cab without opening it at the back.

Yeah, I have tweaked it since. That was about an hour after I did the install. Been pretty water tight. Washed the truck a few times and there hasn't been an issue.

Bak Revolver X2 is an awesome cover. The only issue that could come into play is freeze up in the winter between slats. I am not sure about that yet as I haven't experienced winter with it yet, but I love my Revolver X2 so far and it keeps 99.9% of the water out of my truck bed. Anything that does get in is very light drops on the edge, but my stuff stays dry.

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
I've had a Bak G2 on my last 6 trucks. I absolutely love these covers. I wound up with a Bak MX4 on my 17 Tacoma because I found one used locally. This cover remedies my only complaint about the G2, which was having to lift the cover to close the tailgate. The Bak covers seal well, with minimal leakage. You get more water between the tailgate and bed than the cover leaks in.

Added bonus, the MX4 relocates the track system, uses factory holes for mounting and retains the usability of the tracks.

I can't speak for the other brands, but I highly recommend the Bak covers.

Well I went ahead and went with the mx4..bought it on cyber Monday and it was on my doorstep Friday afternoon. So far can’t complain. Like the flush look and simple functioning.

Not sure which OEM cover that you're familiar with, but the "OEM" hard trifold cover that came with mine is called rugged cover II, I believe maufactured by rugged liners. It can be found on Amazon. It uses the track system, also looks great, and should be a super easy installation, four adjustable clamps.

I had the same cover on a Ram 1500. Very nice but very heavy. Ordered the same brand but in a soft cover for my new Tacoma SR.

Will an OEM tonneau cover off of a 2016 fit a 2017? Any difference in fit/parts?

Question for the guys with the Diamonback SE's. @cookingorsleeping & @hdang

Is the LineX spray the same product they use for bedliner? They sell several products and I'm wondering if it says anywhere in the documentation what it's actually sprayed with.

I'm very intrigued by the Diamondback but if I can save a couple hundred bucks spraying it myself I'll do so. (I spray cerakote on firearms semi-professionally and my brother refinishes car parts on the side). Together we have the skills and equipment to do this but want an OEM look if possible.

Just got my oem tonneau cover from a TW member and we only needed to swap the bed rails. The bed rails for the tonneau cover are precut to fit around the locking pins. Extremely easy install.

Its basically a LineX Spray. I read somewhere that they used to use LineX, but started spraying their own "Proprietary" formula. Its super durable and has the nice no slip texture. Go with diamondback and you won't be disappointed. Water Tight and being able to load on top is awesome. Also makes for an easily spot to set up a sleeping bag if you don't want to go on the ground.

I am currently contemplating getting a oem cover from a TW memeber as well. I don’t believe there will be a bed rail swap as it does indicate one. Are the tonneau cover bed rails needed? Also do you have any pictures of what they look like?
