I did the same thing recently and could not be happier with my choice. Excellent product and excellent customer service from @Zach.RealTruck

By far my favorite cover and accessory overall!

I just installed this as well. So far I️t is amazing and super easy to use. The install took no more than 15 minutes with a friend. Would have been just as easy by myself just a tad longer. Great product and easy install

That thing looks awesome but must be heavy as hell?? How high does it open and does it have pistons? Pretty cool to have all those tie down points.

How is yours with water? Mine has two small gaps at the cab end, looking to see what others have done

I have to give props to Undercover . I've had an Undercover Flex for almost two years and have been very happy with it. It's solid and 99.5% in keeping water out of the bed. Early in December I went to get a Christmas tree. Tree was in the bed with the cover folded and secured to the last fold (not folded up against the cab). On the freeway home the cover decided to leave me . A quick risk assessment determined that it was unrecoverable. Hugely bummed :facepalm:, I priced out new ones and informed the wife :crapstorm:.

When I got to work on Monday, I gave Undercover CS a call and described the incident to the CS rep. 30 Minutes later I got a call from Tony. The first thing he said was "don't worry, we're going to take care of you" :bananadance:. After some back and forth with the necessary paperwork UC shipped me out a new Flex under warranty.
I received it Yesterday and will be installing it today. Thank you Tony and Undercover, great product and customer service :woot:.

Thanks for the link and video. Like mentioned before, the website was pretty generic, but by far the best price I've seen on the Lo Pro. Wish I would have gotten the rebate though!

Does the backflip g2 make you lower or remove any of the old OEM rails? I have a 2016 and I re-added the cab rail from the 2nd gens. I do not want to remove or lower and oem rails.

Third gen Tacoma’s require you undo the rail and basically move it out about half an inch and slightly down. Unlike the 2nd gen Tacoma’s you can still utilize the deck rail system. I’ve had the BAKFlip installed on mine and had no problems still using my deck rail system.

Here is a quick install we did

Thanks. It is too bad they do not have anything to relocate a rail against the cab. I installed a rail against the cab on mine which was not originally on the 3rd gen (my rails are like the 2nd gen). I guess the BakFlip is out for me. Not sure which one to use that does not touch the rails or at the very least does not relocate all 3 evenly down 1/2".

Do you guys think when searching them on websites, I should say my truck is a 2015 (instead of the 2016) so it would give me all the associated hardware needed for my 3 rails (2 side rails and 1 cab rail)?

How’s the Gator FX3? They’re on sale for $120 off and wondering how they hold up. I live in a place with lots of rain and heat during the summers.

I bought an Undercover Ultra Flex. It's great, secure, and I got it at a good price. After rebate and sale it was $689 plus tax. The panels are aluminum instead of plastic/vinyl. It mounts on the factory rails, is easy to remove, and includes a bed light. Five year warranty isn't bad either.

    https://undercoverinfo.com/undercover-ultra-flex/2020/toyota/tacoma

I bought it local from Sportsland (I think they build Undercover since the buildings are side by side) in Rogersville, MO. Their price was $899 (I think). They had a $100 rebate and $110 sale. Give them a call and they'll probably give you a deal.
