Tonneau Cover vs Camper Shell

I just got a 2020 Tacoma. I really want a tonneau cover. I've had them for my past 2 tacos. This time my father is trying to convince me to get a camper shell (I tote everything when we vacation). I don't really like the look of the camper shells, so I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of tonneau cover/camper shell combo? Is something like that made? I know you guys are creative because you already gave me the SUPER AWESOME idea of installing a chalk bag next to the center console to hold my 40oz ThermoFlask. Help me with ideas?!?!?!

 

Not sure what you mean by combo. One is flat and removable, the other is solid and dome shaped. Smoosh the two together and you'll come to removable and dome shaped.

Get a soft topper.

 

This might be a dumb question, but can I have a soft topper installed with a roll up tonneau cover? Like when I'm driving in town I can have the tonneau cover open, and then when I vaca I can roll it up and open the soft top? Can you have both of them installed at the same time?

 

I dont think you can. Softopper mounts will interfere with the tonneau cover.

 

If looks is the only thing holding you back, I promise it’ll grow on you once you have one. I used to hate it, now I love it. It’s also just too damn useful.
