I have the extang trifecta 2.0 tri-fold and it's been good. I like the quick action lock handles.

I'm thinking about getting a Peragon bed cover, at least if I ever get a Tacoma. Trying to score a deal this month. I think they are cool and they are made in my home state.

I recommend the OEM factory tri-fold cover. I love mine, functional and it looks great.

If you want an inexpensive option that stows out of the way and is surprisingly water proof, I really like my Access roll up tonneau. Not super secure if that's a concern but will keep honest people honest. Also I think this same question was asked yesterday or the day before, maybe see what responses that person got.

I just bought the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 for my 2015 Tacoma. They are too expensive in my opinion but I wanted something solid and secure. It looks very similar to the 3rd gen OEM cover.

Used OEM covers usually run around $500 but finding a new takeoff is a challenge.

I have had my 2.0 on my '18 DCLB just about a year in the Northeast. Was a bit pricey but I wanted something a bit more solid. A friend of mine had one and loved it. Glad I bit the bullet.

Good idea looking for a soft top. Can easily remove it, and can even throw it in the back seat if need be.

I went with a (admittedly not soft-top) Bakflip MX4 - install was straightforward and looks good. I like that it doesn't cover the top bed rail (fits inside the bedrails with a small overlap to keep the rain out) so it was easy to install my headache rack.

+1 for the Truxedo Lo Pro. Wanted something that didn't cover up the rear window. Stupid easy to take off and use the entire length of the bed.

My only gripe: whenever you close the tail gate, you have to pop the cover up in order for the rubber seal of the cover to sit right.

My only gripe with the Lo Pro I had on my '16 SR5 is the rails did not sit flat back towards the tailgate on each side. TruXedo never fixed the problem because I blew $750 for one of their new Sentry tonneau cover's for my '19 SR and I'll be damned if didn't have the same issue. Most guys overlook the issue but the damn thing is suppose to set flat on the bed front to back.

As in there's a height difference from the cab to the tail gate? Yeah, I notice that too, but it's maybe a 1/4" difference over the span of 6 ft, I don't really notice it too much tbh and I'm a pretty OCD person.

Have any of y'all seen, used, or know of the TURBO SII 5' Hard Tri-Fold FRP Tonneau Cover Fit for 2016 2017 2018 2019 Toyota Tacoma? Found it on Amazon and its a great price for a hard tri fold if it is a good one.

I bought my 2014 Taco used. It came with an Access roll-up cover from https://www.agricover.com/. I've been very happy with that cover. It's easy to open and close. Doesn't completely keep out rain water, but isn't too bad. The vinyl had deteriorated somewhat, so I recently replaced it. Fairly easy job, and it's all like new now.
