Can't believe no one has mentioned Torza Top. It's a tri-fold soft tonneau. I've had mine for 6+ years and love it. Takes 30 seconds to completely remove or install. It latches from inside the bed so combined with a tailgate lock the only way someone can get in the bed is if they take a knife to the cover. If you need to haul something big you just unlatch the two latches at the tailgate end by hand, fold it forward and snap it down. If you need the full bed it's just two more latches and it's off, then you can sit it in the bed with whatever you are hauling. Perfectly waterproof. Mine leaks a tiny bit in the corners because the weather strip between the cover and the bed rails has worn out, but like I said it's 6+ years old. Just need to get some new weather strip at the hardware store and replace it.

I got the Snuglid SL Hardcover. Couldnt be happier. It's water tight, painted MGM and locks the tailgate from opening.

Thats one thing that the hard tonneaus have that the other covers dont have(IMO) is that clean smooth look, just that those are heavy yeah?

I have a truxedo Lo Pro now for 2 months. It rolls up easy and have not had any issues with water in the bed. Just have to make sure you put the seals on correctly. You have to open the tailgate to release the cover and just close the tailgate and secure the cover. You can still use your rail system but have to install the tie down points first then install the cover. So far no issues with the Velcro but it's only been two months. You have adjust the tightness of the cover every once in a while so it stays tight and does not flap in the wind. I like the cover because it's easy to roll up and you don't loose any bed space or have to worry about storing it in your cab. If you want some pic just send me a message and I can snap some for you.

Tigah...Im on Oahu and just got my truck about a month ago.

I ordered and installed the rollnlock off of Amazon...I got it for around 1200 incuding shipping only 100 less from Servco and I had to install it myself...with most, if not all metal rollups they have a drain hose that you need to drill a small hole to let them drain out the bed of the truck.

I like it so far but with a short bed it does take up a bit too much IMO...in hind site I should have looked for a bak flip folding kind...since i really dont like cloth rollup.

I also have a bedrug on order from 4 wheel parts and got it on sale for $350, I will let you know how that turns out.

If I was you look on amazon to see which ones you can get for cheap or no shipping...i think the Undercover low end one is on there....bad thing is Bedrug they won't ship to hawaii for some dumb reason.

if you have any questions let me know...oh one more thing most covers use the track system in the bed so that something to also keep in mind and I believe the bed exstender needs the track system so might not work with each other.

    Good luck

wow mahalo for all that info, so every type of tonneau cover uses the TACOS track system? im going to look at Amazon right now, the only problems that i have with amazon with big bulky stuff is that they dont ship to PO boxes, cause where i live there isnt any mail boxes by peoples houses like how i am used to on Oahu, i believe FED EX and UPS deliver here but not always for some strange reason it really depends on the shipper, cause my hose address doesnt register on a lot of places including amazon, but ill look!

not every type uses track system...but most hard rollups or undercover types...I dont know enough about the soft ones but im guessing most wont use it.

some of the covers might just need a stationary point on the track such as to connect the lift for top.

also think about the clearance...the track and turnbuckle cleat things are almost exactly level with top of bed rails...some tops would intrude on track use due to their own thickness and trying to be at same level...

oh my cover came by UPS

I was just on the Bakslip site and that cover seems awesome, buti noticed it is level with bed rails and seeing what you just said about how the cover has its own thickness so it would probably not be so flat since it would have to go on top the track system?

the bak flip is flat with track system still in place but you will not be able to use track system with it closed and i think the 4 turnbuckle cleats would have to be removed to close it.

how does 4 wheel parts here on oahu work...if im not mistakin they do sell stuff to outer islands...cause i know they have the bak flip covers and there shipping is reasonable.

    ill call real quick...brb

then he said they would send via young borthers to hilo but didnt know cost...so he gave dimensions for me to call them to get qoute...

    im guessing another 50-60$

just trying to help out...im guessing with waiting for bedrug for 3 weeks this would take 4-5 weeks to happen.

Another vote for the Snuglid SL. Opens easy, closes easier. Like a giant trunk. Waterproof, secure, and looks great. If I have to haul something tall, I get my flatbed trailer.
