I've seen a few Tonneau cover posts in the 3rd Gen strings so redirect me if necessary...

I just put a Tonneau cover on the bed of my Tacoma and the corners closest to the cab aren't sealed... the foam pieces they sent don't seem to fit the space... so, any recommendations on sealing that off? Not important yet, but in the event I'm storing stuff back there due to leaving the place I live, I want to know things won't get wet from rain/snow.

Well without seeing the cover / situation I would say you could get rubber seal at a Home Depot/ home store. They make "d" seal rubber that you can buy for sealing stuff like this .

Again this is without seeing pics of your problem

So this is the best I can do for now... I left the rubber seal from across the back long just in case... maybe I didn't line up the rails right?

I also have "gaps" near the area your talking about , and in a pouring rain storm it doesn't leak at all . If I take the truck through a touchless car wash the high pressure wash blows water through the seals . If I take it through a shammy car wash it doesn't leak . I see your seal it left long but do you know it leaks for sure ?

Mine is open too but in a storm the bed has been dry inside

I don't know for sure, we haven't had any rain since I installed the cover, just preemptively keeping things from getting wet... thought about just putting a couple towels in the corners of the bed when it rains to see how much water it collects.

I also have a gap in the same area , I have a different cover than you but still see light in the same area . I don't think ANY COVER is completely molded to this . Mine doesnt leak while driving in pouring rain or sitting in pouring rain . If I pressure wash the truck I can blow water in the cover and soak the inside . If I use a automatic shammy type car wash it's dry , if I use a touchless car wash it will be wet inside

the third gen has a filler piece you can buy from the dealership for that area if it leaks , I'd wait til you get a good rain storm , drive the truck for a hour or so and leave it sit and see if it leaks .

My cover also has gaps and doesn't leak under normal conditions , I can make it leak and force water in the bed . I just left the gaps
