I really like my OEM tonneau cover. Others don't, all up to preference.

None of them seem to be cheap I'm leaning towards undercover ultra flex but from what I've heard I can still use my track system w the cleats just limited movability

My limited came with the factory cover as
do 90% of the Limited have.
I really did not care for it at first, but now
really like it. It was the only option on the truck, and that was exactly the way I wanted.
I wanted to pick out after market stuff myself,
not forced with crap like paint sealant and
    over priced carpet mats, etc.
The Limited is maxed out with all the plush goodies anyway.

Not sure if you're considering hard or soft, but I have a tri-fold Extang trifecta 2.0 (~$350) for my '18. Quality is good and it's super easy to open/close, but if money wasn't a factor I'd have gotten the solid-fold 2.0. (~$850).

I wanted the ultra flex too but opted for the one piece SE because the joints started leaking and the locking mechanism parts broke in a lot of reviews. It depends on how often you need to put large items in the bed. The one piece is essentially water right. And it can be removed pretty easily.

Yes it does leak a little bit. Mainly from washing and direct hose, but definitely not 100% water tight.

never 100% tight, but when u truck roll, look at the truck bed ,the bed move badly so tonneau cover never 100% water tight.

I got a Bakflip mx4 installed about a month ago and I'm really liking it. Not totally waterproof, but works great, is lockable and sturdy. My dad has the undercover ultra flex on his 2nd gen and they are pretty comparable however I like mine a little better because it is lower profile when looking from the side. Also, mine allows you to close the cover or the tailgate in whatever order you want but his requires you to close the cover last.

Yup figured nothing is watertight but had the extang encore for a bit and couldn’t get it to stop leaking at the folding seams. The solid fold I had on my F-150 was actually pretty water resistant so definitely not against extangs.

The trifecta does seem like it would avoid the problems I had with the encore since it has no folding seams.

    Thanks for the feedback

I see you mentioned a hard cover specifically. In the event you are also considering a soft trifold, here is some info.
I am very happy with my tonneau cover. It is Lund Genesis Elite model, trifold soft cover. It's been on my 2017 AC Tacoma for about 9 months. Zero leaks. The "Elite" model uses a premium cover material manufactured by the Harrtz Co., which produces materials for OEM convertible tops. The Elite material has a woven appearance like you would see on a convertible top on a luxury car. Lund also makes a regular Genesis trifold, which uses a vinyl material, and is less expensive.

Many detailed YouTube videos on the product and its installation. It went on fairly easy. Also, simple to remove and reinstall. It attaches to the OEM rails in the bed utilizing a clamp system. The rails and tie-downs can still be used. No need to drill or otherwise modify the truck.

I am sure there are other good products out there. Lund is the only one I have direct experience with.

Pace Edwards Jack rabbit. It locks from the outside with a key and locks every 12 inches. Aluminum under vinyl. Love it
It’s lower profile than the switchblade cover from Pace Edwards which locks and unlocks from the inside. Tail Gate is what locks it on that one. Amazon for $1100

Easy to install to the bed rails and keeps the moveable cleats. Comes in a Huge shipping box. My box was pretty beat up, but no damage to the cover. (Big truck ship due to size.) Only nervous about the hardware bag getting out, but it was there. Good instructions, but I ended installing the mounts just a bit more forward than shown on the installation instructions to get a better fit at the tailgate. It’s a little awkward to take on and off, but can be done in just a couple of minutes. (Even with a short wife!) Just watch that you don’t drop it on the pointy corners, and I put a thick towel in the middle to store it on edge! I personally like the security...tailgate can’t be opened without the cover up. Only negative is My key is the groved key which won’t work in the cover lock. They will send you separately (free) a notched key instead. Virtually waterproof. I got the non painted black that I felt looked great on my MGM. And as a backup plan, thought it would be an easy sell to someone else since black looks pretty good with all colors ( if I want to sell and get something else later. Also didn’t want another painted surface to wax! If dollars were no issue, like to have a trifold also, keep both.
