Hi all, new to the Tacoma family waiting 10 years for this moment!

    Just got my tonneau installed:

Y'all know if there's supposed to be a small 1/8" to about 1/4" gap between the trunk door and the seal of the tonneau or is it supposed to be flush aka really tight seal?

It's the trifold tonneau (I'll add pictures)

After you close it, push down firmly on each rear corner at the tailgate. You should hear a click, and it should be tighter afterward. This assuming it is the Tacoma tonneau from Toyota.

Not sure what brand you have, but my Truxedo LoPro has a back flap/seal that seats firmly against the inner edge of my tailgate. Kinda hard to see in this pic.

I might need to edit my post once I see the specifics in your pics but, I bought an inexpensive roll up cover like 7 years ago. And I had to add a lot of additional weather stripping to the seams. The little that came with it did next to nothing and a good rain would soak the bed.

so by finding the worst leaks and stopping them with various thickness weather stripping, I got it so only minor seepage happens at some corners.

in short, if it’s only a minor gap, you could run a strip of weatherstripping

    Thaaaaanks!
I'm going to post a picture this week I just need a good shot during the day to see the spacing. I checked the seal and the sides are clicked all the way for the latch and still a small gap. I'm thinking that extra weather seal strip is ideal solution you're the best thanks!

Don’t mention it! First cuz I hope it is the solution you need. And second cuz I just got the tip from someone else on here years ago when I had the same issues ;)

    Good luck man!
