Not bent at all, just responding to your comment seeming hurt / upset about a silly poll.

Just picked up an undercover flex that was like new of Craigslist for $450 bucks plus a couple hour drive. Don’t use the full capabilities of the bed a lot and I couldn’t pass that deal up. Liking it a lot so far.

I’m old and have no tonneau so apparently I’m stupid.

But the premise states I must have the tonneau to look stupid, so therefore I must be smart. But if I’m smart, and don’t have a tonneau, I must not be old.

Thanks Op, you made me young and smart!

I have a tonneau, yakima bed rock bed rails, Thule basket, bed extender, lumber hauler attachment etc for mine. I use whichever accessory I need for the job or trip at hand...I have never really given a thought how that looks in any configuration since I was using the truck for a purpose. Every day set up is basic truck with a bed, since you never know what your going to need to haul.

If you are on the fence about it.... Get one. They are insanely useful, can be removed in about a minute, and if you hate it, you can probably sell it easy enough for 70% of what you paid for

I got one when I got my truck, and haven't regretted it once. I've hauled barkdust, lumber, a full load of cases of beer... Plus used it as a large trunk for luggage on multiple occasions, kept my junk out of the rain, and from being stolen.
Lots of utility no downside except cost.

Dude! Holy shit you did it and it's bad ass. I love it. Did you end up using all those kb parts? I see the remains of a few of them. This is so cool. You have a build page for it?

The language of the poll is an example of ageism knowing no bounds.

Joke dude, a freaking joke, I don't get how some people here seem to have no sense of humor or the ability to laugh at themselves from time to time without getting upset or taking it personal. But yep, totally an ageist, JFC.

I don’t take ageism jokes personal. I just call out prejudice when I see it.
Before folks can stop practicing ageism they first have to recognize ageism.

Such a terrible world we live in, age prejudice running rampant, people making jokes about tonneau covers and old guys with them on their trucks, how do those people live with themselves. I bet they push old people down in the grocery store...

Seriously dude, you need to get off that assumption, accusation pedastal of yours. Its a joke just like when people say old guys like chrome all over their trucks or young guys and lifted trucks on 20'' wheels, because that's what those age groups tend to gravitate too or take part in, its not disrespect, its not being insensitive, or discriminating and not prejudice, just a good laugh at people being people. Obviously people of all ages have tonneau covers and use them for whatever reason.

No sweat off my back, I spend plenty of time at the VFW and Rehab Outpatient Center I do shadow work at having good laughs making jokes like these with older people who don't think its prejudice or insulting, but you do you, I have no problem sleeping at night.
