I had the opportunity to fully remove my tonneau the other day (for the first time) to haul some furniture. I was incorrectly under the impression that
the tonneau would stow/fit on the backseat of my truck. Well, no. It doesn't fit and no, it doesn't fit in the bed with the tailgate closed
unless you -possibily- load it sideways. Anyway, I had to drive with the tonneau laying on its' side in the bed with the tailgate open and secure it from sliding out with straps.

Besides removing it before knowing I'll be hauling something, WHAT have you done to stow it on the move??

This is why I got a roll up tonneau.

I usually only have mine off if I know I’m going to be hauling a larger item. When I do, I just stand it up, leaning against the wall out of the way in the garage. I’m contemplating using some scrap strapping or 2x lumber to build a small “pocket” framed onto the exposed stud in my garage to drop the bottom into so it stays put (maybe use s strap to secure the top). My issue is free wall space in my garage is minimal. Interested to see what others do...

Don't get me wrong, I did my homework and decided I liked and wanted the OEM. However, there are some rather crafty folks on here who have taught me a thing or two and maybe there was an option I haden't exercised.
