thanks, the topper is really nice to have for winter.

I did know you had syn line. it felt like a privilege watching you pull a certain someone up "the wall" with it :p

i'm still shopping around a bit but the #700 coil is ideal so going a different route with a #650 coil would need to have some very good benefits.

no argument here^ that worn, loose parts can/will effect alignment causing tire wear issues. but ive noticed, especially on ny own truck. before ucas, my tires would wear, just like Joey described. the lack of caster with stock ucas caused the tires to scrub roughly on the road when turned. a cutter ucas and gained back the caster, the tires turn on more of a diagonal axis relieving the scrub a bit. that paired with constant rotations, i dont have that saw tooth pattern anymore.... ucas are worth every penny.

new suspension eh? ive thinking about new co's too. i love my ome, strong as hell and has never failed me. but i always wonder if i can gain some better ride quality with some adjustable co's.... i too got a quote for ads, heard great things about them, but damn $$$$$$ . ive been thinkin about toytec boss co's with 650#.... not sure if i need a stiffer spring or not, but seems everyone agrees less preload the better right?

thanks for the input Jace

i'm in the same boat as you for the most part regarding suspension. other than the little bit of sag i've noticed with my ome setup, it has done great for me and never cause me any issues. after taking Mike's (digiratus) truck for a short test drive though, the difference in ride quality was night and day. at the time he was on SAW's with #650 coils but the difference was an eye opener for sure

Having the 700lb springs on my BOSS coilovers and now back to the 600lb springs and a 1/2"drop in front my ride is 100% smoother.

But then again this is a 2nd gen opinion. So.... carry on. :-D

i'd probably be on the fence too if i had crazy talk about getting rid of my tacoma :p
i'm still mulling over the options really. BOSS is still on the list but i'm also considering ext travel kings.... so there's that

exactly^ could buy boss for 2 trucks for the same price as a pair of ads. my argument Monte is.... what does all that adjustability and custom valving really do for my kind of offroading? im 90 percent in the rocks, very slow. 10 percent in moab where a bit higher speeds can be achieved offroad.....

You can valve it to what you want. Make me super soft if you want.

Better yet get the clickers in the resi. Ads ones have 20 clicks...freaking 20! Then you can open them up for the slow stuff then close them for the road and fast stuff.

unless i go with the BOSS setup i'll most likely be buying from DSMS. and i much prefer talking with an actual person when i have questions
the clickers would be great to have but i am a little concerned that the clickers

    A- can wear out

B- how well would they hold up to dirt, mud, and mag chloride in the winter

The clickers I couldn't say. I'd call and ask ads. I know I'm going to add them to mine this summer.

Shocks are shocks and need rebuilt just for wear. Some guys do it every two years. Some longer haha but anywhere from 20-50k. Totally up to you

on the other hand, OME is a pretty well respected brand and we all know how much abuse their stuff goes through in R&D and they are coming out with a similar setup which may say something about the design of the "clicker" system

Yea but it's horribly designed. Hell one of the adjusters is UNDER the damn coil. Wtf.

Ads has been around for a long time and does lots of R&D..I don't think they are any less tested then OME.

That and I don't think they are making them for 1st gens. And they aren't gonna be any cheaper anyways with less clicks of adjustment..doesn't seem worth it to me..
