    TG deserves a special tribute as one of the top two greatest base hitters of all time plus he was a such a positive role model on top of that.

    You will find most older Atlanta Braves fans, like myself, coming out of the woodwork to salute him because he absolutely owned the Braves pitching staff, every single game they played, year after year, back in the day.

    dude one of my idols. growing up thats all I did was play baseball. Tony was a great athelete and greater person. lived his whole life in S.D. and gave up many opportunities to leave. you never see that anymore..20 years with the same team and committed his whole life to the San Diego area...R.I.P. Tony. Also, my inspiration to stop chewing right now!!!
