As everyone has said this is a scam that is going around ebay and other classifieds. You will be linked to a fake webpage, pay money, and never see anything for it.

this is a common scam, i see it all the time on craigslist.

think about it. he could wholesale the car to a dealer on the spot for more than that. why would he wasted his time going to all this work?

    .

"Scam" or "flood car" or "salvage title vehicle" ... CarMax will pay them more than that.

I have seen a ton of scams for cars on craigslist. My buddy was lookin for a new car and found a 2008 Toyota Corolla with 8K miles on it for $2,500. The lady wanted the sale to go through ebay. What a f-ing idiot doesn't even know how her own scam works. She took some pictures and said she was in Chicago. The pictures showed the car in a container on a freighter. Just ridiculous....

Two friends of mine got scammed like this while we were deployed to Iraq. One of them thought he bought a Tacoma at a wicked good price, the other a Mitsubishi 3000GT. Neither one ever saw a penny of their money after they sent it off and the people disappeared. Common sense, if it seems too good to be true, it is. FWIW, one lost about $5k, the other $4k.
