    Hi all,
Since we bought it new, our 2006 2.7L 4cylinder, at 1st start-up the RPM is 2100 for about 15-20 seconds. A box under the hood then makes a quick vacume switch noise and the RPM is 1500 for another 20-30 seconds. Another vacume switch noise then drops the RPM to 700, finally! This blows, but the dealer has told me twice it's normal. Does anyone know if this problem has been fixed, or how to disable the vacume box to maybe stop this?
Isn't this high RPM at start-up esp bad for the motor, like the oil commercial used to say?

    Thanks.
