no law requiring doors in NC... A/C button makes it sound like you turn on half the damn engine, the only criminals around here are people making meth not car thiefs, and im not too worried about doing a little work on my truck, ie im not lazy and id enjoy the ride without doors, change things up, and hey put them back on whenever i want to ..why? because i enjoy adding to or taking things off my truck thats why im on this site, and to the guy who spells lose loose your spell check is trying to help you..;)

    1. alignment. Getting a door back on straight is a hassle. Jeeps have special hinges to address this. You would have to moddify/fabricate some for your's.
    2. Damage. The doors are large, heavy, and bulky (especially compared to a jeeps 5 lb doors). Removing them without damaging the door, fender, mirrors, etc would be a big hassle.
    3. Electrical. You would have to cut and install some disconnects for everything in the door. Power windows, mirrors, speakers, airbag sensors(risk accidently deploying these)

2nd Gen's don't look good without doors or with half doors. Its also a massive PITA to do with all the new crap in trucks.

The <94 pickups and 4Runners look pretty sweet with half doors on them. You also don't have to worry about a wiring assembly to remove or speakers.

Though in most places you need the half doors if you want to run on the roads. Safety and whatnot.

Easier to remove the windshield and back glass. Only requires a hammer.

There are already "disconnects" inside the kick panel for all wiring going to the doors.

Incase anyone was curious, there are no laws in the CVC that say anything about doors. Just make sure you have 1 side view mirror.
