If I debadge is my truck gonna have all those ghosted-out marks? Lots of horror stories on here... but I really wanna do it.

Do it! Your truck is a 2014 so the paint shouldnt be as baked as later years. If you do have some ghosting you can always buff out the area with compound

2005 here. I debadged it a couple of years ago, and the emblems didn't cause any issue, but my TRD stickers on the side of the bed... The covered area looks pristine, while the rest of the truck... not so much. Looks like a lot of elbow grease to remove oxidation is in my future!

My buddy debadged his shitbox 04 ram 1500 and it ghosted on the tailgate. Put a LITTLE, JUST A LITTLE brakeleen on a paper towel and rub off the ghosted crap and buildup. Worked for him. Try at your own risk.

Definitely don't use brake cleaner to try to remove sharpie marker on leather couches after bachelor parties though. You'd think this would be common sense, but it apparently wasn't for a buddy of mine lol.

Learned that lesson while working on my mountain bike. My dad goes here use some brakleen! We were cleaning the chain because it got nasty. Doused the leather and red stitched seat on accident after the first ride i took on it and man i was pissed.

Did it to my 2004, decals, emblems and all. No problems after 14 years on a black truck at that.

Used fishing line for the emblems, old credit card for the decals. Grabbed some Remington Oil (WD 40 will work too) to loosen the decals, old credit card to scrape and an old rag to clean up. Afterwards, used Armor All detail spray with a clean cloth. BINGO!! There is a YouTube video with this little trick floating about, wont scratch your paint either.

    Post pics when you're done!

I prefer to use brakleen when i wipe my ass. Gives you that nice sterile feel when you are done.
