How about some of those seat spacers? Tilt the front of the seat up a bit

I was thinking the same thing. I doubt lowering the ass end 1” is going to have any appreciable effect on feeling like you’re sliding out of your seat or not.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I put some blocks under the front and it made the 3rd gen seat way better. A sportier feel like it had bolsters. I think it would do the same for the 2nd gen.

I had the same issue with them and they never settled. It seems to be a common thing with the RXT's. I changed over to the Deaver J66 packs and got a much nicer ride and the proper lift I was expecting.

It made a difference for me, I was sliding off the seat a bit as I have a rake with my Deaver stage 3.
It fixed the issue for me and it also helped my legs not fatigue as much on longer drives.

If anyone has had nerve pain in their legs, hip or back. Try jacking the front of the seat up.

It's fantastic if you have an empty bed and don't plan to tow or weigh down the bed regularly. Rides 5000000% nicer than the stage 1 RXT did empty. Perfect for how I'll use the truck, but definitely not for everyone (their u402 is great if you need to support weight though). I don't like Icon shocks, IDK why I thought I'd like their leaf pack. IMO Icons marketing needs adjusting re: the comfort and lift specs of the RXT. Had I known about the J66 before I would have ordered it the first time, it's a much better pack for my needs.

Damnit. Are you ever tapping the bumpstops just normal driving?

Not that I can feel, but I'm running Superbumps (probably changing for Duros soon) and the ADS 2.5's back there are still fairly stiff even with their 'softest ever' Tacoma tune. You can see the little donut ring from the bumps in the dust on the frame sometimes, but I never feel it make contact.

@IvanhoeTaco Maybe give it some time and put some load in the back to help it settle a bit more down before doing anything costly. The seat spacers up front seem like a good idea to check out. I installed my own, in the rear mounts though, and they changed how the sitting feels for sure.

I have my Icon's on Option 2, so I can't contribute other than I'm sitting at 2.5" above stock. I'm actually thinking about dropping to Option 1 to improve ride quality (and address leaf squeaking since I'm in there).

FWIW, I too think your truck looks great as it sits. I like having some rake on my truck. Better than the "diaper" stance, as my mechanic calls it (with the rear lower, assuming get plenty doo doo in back).

Thanks for the insight. Yeah i will give them till the summer and see how they do. Shipping is waaay to expensive on heavy parts to just order when I feel like it.

In these pics I think it looks fine. The big fender opening makes it look high it seems. But lookin at the door body line. It’s look good to me imo.

When I installed my RXTs with option #1, it originally landed me something like 3.75" lift.

What I goofed up on was torquing all the bolts down while the suspension was still hanging (truck on jack stands).

    Looked stupid as hell!

I loosened everything back up while truck was resting on it's own weight. Opened the tailgate and gave it a few solid bounces to give the pivot points a chance to resettle things.

Torqued everything back down and ended up somewhere around 2.75" lift.

It rides super smooth and isn't raked too much with the front set at 2.5".

This is a really, really good point. I was fortunate enough to have read either Icon’s directions or someone’s advice on a thread and knew not to torque down until the end, but yes that could really impact the lift height…and performance.

I think my experience was 2.75” ish settling to 2.25”. But I really don’t remember anymore.

Great news! I took the rocks and spare tire out of bed and now im 12 inches from axle to frame! 4 inches over stock! Wtf.
