Rust looks fine. Thats pretty decent for any salt state. And its a poor mechanic that can't get those cam bolts lose.

    Talking rust it looks fine.

All things considered though I'm with Rock Lobster on this one. A BRAND NEW SR5 would run you not a lot more and is a LOT newer, no miles, comes with a warranty, and the financing (if needed) is probably better.

That rust is a non-issue especially in the north east. Just coat it with Fluid Film yearly and Taco on.

Take note for the future: there are members in here out west or down south that have no idea what rust is or what it looks like... so take every comment with a grain or 2 of salt.

So true. Seen pics on here of guys in the desert asking if a 20 year old AZ truck with a tiny bit of surface rust is too rusty

IMO that is a lot of rust. Where you need to look more is back further under the bed, aside the fuel tank and inside the frame. For that price, that truck is a solid pass. If it is that way on the outside, imagine the inside. No!

They put salt on the roads here. Regardless, the question was not if that is a lot of rust for Michigan, it was "Too much rust?" and IMO that is too much rust to pay $27,000 anywhere.

The oil leak should spew enough oil to coat some of the frame and prevent rust.

Leveling kit, wheel spacers, personally fabricated modified frame, and some sweet diamond plate to cover up a smashed driver side! Because I was stupid
What year is the truck? Sorry if you already said, I missed it

...and half the time it's not even surface rust but instead just simply dirt stains.
