Too rusty for a new muffler?

    This isn't my actual truck but this is similar to what my exhaust pipes look like. Is this too rusty for them to weld a muffler on? Thanks oldexhaustpipes.jpg

    No- as the metal gets ground down to clean it in preparation for a weld. As long as it's not rusted through, surface rust is fine.
