Hey guys I was trying to replace the bulbs in my gauge cluster for the climate control and right after I unscrewed the back panel a strip of wires ripped out from the one circuit board to the other. I tried to feed it back in but it wouldn't stay in place. Tried tape and it would still come apart. Eventually after messing with it for so long the wires got bent enough that it was no longer making good connection and 1 piece of wire broke off. Now nothing that is powered by the right side connection works. I'm assuming I have to replace the whole thing now? Thanks.

I can hook you up if its 01-04 truck.

the way that connection works is the tab locks it in with a pressed in fit, gently pull straight out on the raised lip and the tab slides out too a little bit to "open" the slot, then you press the wire tape in evenly so its all the way seated then you push the tab in to secure the contacts in place. that's it and its making contact again.

good news is a salvage yard should have a beat up control somewhere nobody wanted

Yes, it is a 04. Have a extra? I wish I would have posted earlier because the more I messed with it the more I messed up the ends on the wires. The plastic tape came off the one side immediately. Fooling around with it more and the wires came apart. I don't know if new wiring can be purchased and if I can properly install it. All because I wanted to convert to LED's. lol. Forget it. Just want to get my heater working again!

send me $15 and I have the rear control circuit board with the wire tape still on it I can send to you.

gently reinstall in your front circuit board and you are back in action. then you save your old one to have a spare rear circuit board in case you ever need one. Toyota charges like $90 for it lol.

    PM me
