Can somebody please tell me if a tool box would fit in the bed of a 95 Tacoma that has the original plastic bedliner in. The bottom of the tool box that is suppose to fit is 16.5 inches wide and to me that looks like it might come close to hitting the wheel wells and preventing it from sitting in the truck

I have had a box in with the liner. I do however believe the box was one that had the offending bottom corners cut away at an angle to avoid contact with the wheel wells though...

Are you talking about a wedged tool box? That's what I'm looking at but I still wasn't too sure. And also was your box width 20 inches on top? The ones I'm looking at are 61.5 x 20 inches. And the bottom of the box that would be sitting in the bed is 16.5 inches and the corners are wedged like you were describingon yours I think

Okay, so my box is 20" ...21" at the lid.

Im not running that one with the liner anymore but it will still fur sure fit as long as its wedged! Without a liner my box is a bit more than 5.5inches away from the wheel well measured from the flat of the wedge portion. From the closest spot of course..

im sorry I didn't ask this a little while ago but I'm guessing since yours is a 20 inch wide the bottom of the box that sits on the truck is 16.5 inches wide right?

Mine seems to be about 17.5...definitely steps in once below the top portion on both the front and back...
