Very well said! My question is this, apparently there are some songs on the download that came with the limited release that are not on the CD, which I purchased. I’ve not yet done this. Has anyone on this thread done that? If so , what do you make of it?

Anyway. I love the album and think it’s outstanding. I feel like there is a lot of overthinking of everything and we should just appreciate the unbelievable talents of these musicians and artists.
I’ve been a big tool fan since the mid-90’s and they completely kick ass . Especially live . 7 times for me .
Good day all and enjoy.... or not!

I'm not a TOOL fanboy by any means. And everyone has their right to determine their own level of enjoyment. I haven't purchased the album yet as it was sold out at my local record store.. Ive only heard what my local station has played, and they've played quite a few songs. I dig it. This is one of the few albums I'm excited to purchase and not simply take a single song off itunes. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.

    Cheers!

Check the evolution of any band. It's going to be different. A band that continues to pump out the exact same stuff each album is called Nickelback. They're not the young pissed off 20 year olds that did opiate. You could really see the evolution of the bands age in 10000 days. Fear innoculum continues with the trend. It was honestly exactly what I was expecting. I really like it.

It's just the 3 interludes that wouldn't fit on the CD. They're mostly just weird noises, good for listening to once or twice and then skipping.

I know people say oh you have to listen to it multiple times but first impressions are im pretty disappointed in it. It didnt sound like anything new. If you go back and listen to their albums the progression is apparent this sounded like something that could have been added to 10,000 days but 10,000 days album had more depth to it. maybe i set the bar too high.... ive been listening to tool for 17 years and have been to a few concerts. (great concert band)

The digital download comes with those other songs. But they're just filler.

My favorite keeps changing, LOL. I think of it as one really long epic, just like life, which is kind of what it seems like it is about.

Fear Inoculum -- Bless this immunity (intro, he REALLY no longer cares or needs our approval)
Pneuma -- we are "breathed" into the world, eyes full of wonder
Invincible -- Teenagers and early life, driving hard
Descending -- things aren't so rosy anymore, bad things happen to good people, etc.
Culling Voices -- we decide what we stand for, cull out things that don't align to our world view
7empest -- we become a force for what we believe in
