Well, here we are nearly 2 years later. Went to the Tulsa concert, it was awesome -- seems like Maynard's voice is in a bit better shape. My brother came up from Dallas and dropped some coin for floor seats up front. He pulled this frame from the video he took at the end.

 

Nice I got Tool tickets for this summer in Michigan. One band I want to say I saw live. I am not really a fan of their newest album though, so I hope they are playing some other stuff.

 

my friend just went to see them at the philly concert. they were throwing people out for recording them with their cell phones. they did let them record the last song thought. ever heard of that from Tool?

 

All the time; it's been like that for many years. No recording for the entire show, then Maynard says something to the affect of: "alright you fucking losers with your fucking phones, record this!"

 

It's weird how difficult it is to find any live albums by them. Probably why so many try to record them.

There is one album / dvd vhs they did and it's impossible to find.

 

Yeah, I can't find anything that is "official." Just the occasional YouTube stuff, nothing really professional. What is this one you speak of?

I saw them in Pittsburgh 2 weeks ago. Great show. Same deal about the phones. Signs everywhere saying not to do it. Maynard let everyone take pics and record the last song. Good show. Great visuals. They played pretty much the whole new album, which was cool but the setlist was missing some of the older songs that I hoped/expected to hear. But I'm not going to complain.

 

Was the same in Grand Rapids where I saw them. Allowed people to film the last song. Was a great show.

 

I thought that guitar was awesome. I don't remember him having a Flying-V in the past. Very sweet.

 

Yeah, he starts the song on his typical Les Paul, then finishes on the flying V. I was surprised as well, maybe Gibson wanted him to promote something different, lol.

 

Ya perhaps. Either way, I thought it was cool to see him playing something different. Still buzzing from that show. I had a great time.

 

Tonight's show in Cleveland and the last one of the tour. Fucking amazing. If you've never been, make it happen. The lights and visuals are a huge part of the sound and truly make the performance that much better. Pictures from Invincible.

Nov 2019 Pittsburgh. Never will forget it.

It was even more special because my brother moved out of state some years ago and we met up to attend the concert.

 

Same here! My brother in law and family moved out of state, and he drove 10 hours to come to the show with me and my wife. Epic.

 

LOL, my brother had tickets to the Dallas show, but he got notified when they opened up additional floor seats in Tulsa. We didn't sit together, but he drove up from Dallas and we hung out before and after. He tried (not very hard) to sell his Dallas seats but ended up going to that show as well.

He tried to bring a camera in but was turned away, ended up hiding it in a bush and grabbing it afterwards, lol.

 

I knew there had to be some Tool conversation going on in this forum.
