Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
That looks real solid, good job!

Use a jigsaw for the sheetmetal and the plastic flare. Fine tooth blade.

With a jigsaw are you able to cut the fender flares still mounted to the fenders or do you have to do it off the truck?

This is right after cutting fenders, when my truck was on 285's:

Looks good. Did you trim the flares when they were on the truck or off? Did you use the jigsaw for then too?

I would remove the plastic flares so you can tape and mark the cut line on the sheetmetal. I wouldn't try to cut the fenders while they are still mounted on the truck.

Yes. I think everyone cuts them while they are not on the truck.

The flares should unscrew from inside the wheel well and then pop off all the plastic rivets

Dremel makes a nice circular saw, for cutting anything you need. It's a 6.5 amp saw max sm20.

I drilled holes in a cheap ruler so a pen tip could poke through it, and another hole for another pencil or whatever to run against the uncut edge of the fender. I held it all together while marking a nice 2" cut line.

    Lotsa shit.
hey man, curious as to how yo filled in the fender holes, this is what I wanna do, I am sick of my flares, haha. It looks awesome. Also, to anyone who has any input, what do you do with the fender liners, both front and rear, or is there a write-up on this I am missing? Lastly, how long does this take? good couple of hours if you know what you are doing??

Looks great and I’m planning on doing this over the weekend. What did you put on the fender and plastic after the cuts to make it look clean. Door trim? Any close up shots?

Used a simple rubber trim from Mcmaster carr. 1/8 ID for the plastic flares and 1/32 ID for the sheetmetal edges. I carefully superglue them on. I chose that simple glue-on rubber trim because it was very low profile and matched the height of the other OEM trim around those areas.
I would practice gluing the trim on some cutoff scraps before actually super gluing them on the flares.

8507K65 Standard Rubber Edge Trim 1/8" Opening, 1/4" Inside Depth

(Sheet Metal) 8507K11 Standard Rubber Edge Trim 1/32" Opening, 5/32" Inside Depth

This is the best old pic I have because the trim currently is semi covered by my cage.

Is this trim colored the same as your truck?
