Tools for cutting Fenders?

I use my Milwaukee M12 90° die grinder with a cut off wheel to cut plastic, then a sanding disc to clean up the edge. I use my Ingersoll Rand air body saw for the metal fenders, then use the 90° die grinder with a flap disc to clean up the metal edge.

I do a lot of these!

That is some clean work. Do you have more pics of your work or any writeups/tips? I want to do this for some 35's but the idea of cutting my truck worries me.

 

I tried using a Dremel on the plastic but little plastic pieces were flying everywhere and it was taking too long on the metal. Ended up using a jigsaw. I use the same blade (fine tooth for metal) on both the metal and plastic. 2” off both. Files them both after with a metal file tool (whatever it’s called). Tried to make it as neat as possible because I don’t want to use the rubber trim. Ended up taking the flares off again to paint them so they’re not faded like in this photo

 

How much did you take off for 285/75/17 looks like?

 

have any links to the edge trim for the sheet metal and plastic flares?

 

I just get it from a local automotive store called Lordco. I'm sure NAPA has something similar.
